For a divorce from England and Wales, distinguish a conditional order or decree nisi from the final order or decree absolute. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own systems; identify the issuing jurisdiction before choosing the Turkish document route.
A final divorce order, a Turkish register and the next document
A conditional order is not the completed divorce document needed for a final civil-status assessment. Obtain the final order and clarify any separate financial order. Turkish civil registration, court recognition and enforcement of money obligations should then be considered separately. The effect of a UK financial order on Turkish land is not an automatic title transfer.
Prepare the Turkish part of the matter
For UK-issued documents, check the government legalisation service and the receiving Turkish institution’s requirements. A certified copy, an apostille and a Turkish translation may each perform a different role. Have a property or divorce power of attorney reviewed before signing, especially where a particular notarial form or photograph is required.
A practical plan from where you live
For a UK estate with a Turkish apartment, distinguish the grant or executor appointment from proof needed for Turkish heirship and registry work. Record the deceased’s nationality and the property identifiers. A consultation request should include your UK time zone and the document deadline; an appointment time is confirmed separately.
What to include in your first enquiry
State your country of residence, the legal issue in Turkey and any known deadline. If there is a judgment, identify the issuing authority and whether it is final. If property or an estate is involved, give only a general description at this stage. Do not send identity numbers, banking credentials or sensitive allegations in the public form. Formal documents are reviewed through an agreed channel after scope and authority are clarified.
What documents do I need?

Can this process be handled while you live abroad?
An initial review can take place from United Kingdom. Many Turkish procedural steps may be handled under suitable authority. Personal hearings, notarial appointments, banking or registry requirements may still require attendance. This page does not describe an office or foreign-law practice in United Kingdom.

Do you have an office in United Kingdom?+
The professional office is in Istanbul. This page is for people living in United Kingdom who need Turkish-law assistance; it does not claim a local branch or qualification there.
Can I start without travelling to Turkey?+
Yes, you can make an initial enquiry and arrange a document review remotely. Any later attendance requirement is assessed for the actual process.
Will my foreign documents be accepted automatically?+
No. Their legal character, authentication, translation and the receiving authority’s requirements must be reviewed.
